RC Project Shock Caps V2 TNG for Kyosho MP11, MP10, MP9
RC Project Shock Caps V2 TNG for Kyosho MP11, MP10, MP9
The entire project has been revised compared to the V1 version. From now on, the caps can operate with a bladder or emulsion, depending on your choice! Compatible with Kyosho Inferno MP11, MP10, MP9 buggies, all nitro or brushless versions.
The NEW Shock Cap V2 now features 4 purge holes (there were 3 on the V1 version) and a new angled hole for mounting an M2 screw.
The NEW Shock Cap V2 can also be used for vented systems (only in combination with honeycomb bladders by removing the purge screw).
The inner chamber has been redesigned to optimize performance for emulsion or bladder systems.
Allen screws for emulsion: after several disappointing tests with off-the-shelf screws, we decided to design and produce our own Allen screws for the Shock Caps V2.
Kit contents:
- 4 V2 shock absorber caps
- 4 honeycomb bladders
- 4 "standard" bladders
- 4 emulsion seals
- Rebound measurement and adjustment tool
- 4 special V2 bleed screws
Specifications:
- Material: 12.9 grade steel alloy (1200 N/mm²).
- Emulsion seals: the emulsion seal has a rectangular section with a small pocket designed to facilitate and speed up operations, which also ensures that the seal is not damaged during disassembly
- Honeycomb bladders: the membranes have been completely redesigned to operate inside the new caps. The volumes, cross-sections and hardness have been redesigned to achieve near-zero rebound during assembly and to limit as much as possible the rebound increase that normally occurs after each stroke.
The bladders feature a concavity to make room for the piston retaining nut, so that the upward travel is not limited (as is the case with some other caps). This innovative design also avoids any risk of damaging the membrane in case of violent impacts, while maintaining a linear movement of the damper rod.
- Ribbed "standard" bladders: this new option was not present in the previous V1 version and came as a big surprise to our test drivers. It is a compromise between emulsion and honeycomb: it is not suitable for all conditions, but where it has been used, the performance results have been remarkable.
The air-side design features an internal grid that connects and reinforces the central and side walls, allowing the membrane to retain its original shape even under significant shocks.
The oil-side design shares the same honeycomb philosophy.
