The HOBBYWING XR10 PRO G3 ESC is specially designed for 1/10th Modified racing, offering optimized performance and precision control tailored to the demands of competitive racing. With advanced functions and customizable settings, it ensures exceptional power and responsiveness, giving drivers a clear advantage on the track.

The XR10 PRO G3 ESC features Hobbywing's patented Reverse Polarity Protection (RPP) technology. In the event of an incorrect connection of the power lead, while conventional external capacitors can be damaged, the revised connection will not damage the ESC.

Three selectable profiles are available for all 1/10th RC car races. To adapt to different racing conditions, the firmware includes three easy-to-select preset modes.

Users can customize and rename these modes to suit their driving preferences, track conditions, etc. For example, “1/10 On-Road” can be renamed to “ROAR2025_MOD_4.5” to indicate a race using a 4.5T engine at the ROAR 2025 event. These profiles can be saved for future reference.

An internal electronic switch ensures long life and high reliability, while the external switch port allows connection of an external switch (not included, sold separately), providing flexibility for a variety of installations.

The separate programming port can power an external fan, or connect to an LCD Program Box Pro or OTA programmer for ESC.

Variable PWM and braking frequency control.

Multiple protections include patented RPP (Reverse-Polarity-Protection), LVC (low-voltage cutoff protection), ESC and motor thermal protection, and fail-safe protection (protection against loss of throttle signal).

The ESC features an integrated data logging module, eliminating the need for permanent connection to the Bluetooth OTA module. After use, connection to the Bluetooth OTA module enables users to view various performance data.

The XR10 Pro G3 features an integrated data logging module capable of storing up to 19 groups of 20-minute data sessions, for a total of 380 minutes. There's no need to keep the Bluetooth OTA module connected during operation.

Connection to the application enables review of stored data logs after a run, (in graphical form) as well as real-time data in real time to check operating status. The OTA module or LCD Program box pro is required to read the data. Data includes rpm, voltage, current, temperature, engine speed, vehicle speed and other relevant parameters.

  • Freewheel function, lower temperature:

Freewheeling acts on deceleration and overall operating efficiency to help reduce temperature. Compared with the previous XR10 Pro G2S ESC, the temperature theoretically drops by around 15°C during operation, improving consistency and reliability.

This significant temperature reduction is particularly beneficial in high-load applications. In addition, the rate at which the number of revolutions per minute decreases enables faster deceleration or slowing down, which improves control when cornering.

  • Disc brake mode:

The use of innovative closed-loop brake control (disc brake mode) delivers more precise, linear braking. This allows your brakes to be completely linear at all speeds. This mode completely solves the problem of non-linear braking force, which is often caused by traditional braking methods that are never the same depending on the speed at which the car is travelling.

Disc Brake mode also supports the curvature of braking force, to fine-tune the feel of brake bias. Of course, the traditional braking mode is always available.

  • Durable frameless fan

The frameless fan's blades are made from special materials, which increase their rigidity. This improvement reduces damage caused by impacts from small stones, sand and other small debris, which commonly affect traditional PBT fans. As a result, fans are more durable and ESC reliability is improved.

  • Intelligent fan start-stop function

This function turns the fan off when ESC does not need it, and on again automatically when ESC temperature rises and cooling is required. The Smart Fan function ensures that the ESC remains within its operating temperature range, and reduces energy consumption and noise when the fan is running.

  • Numerous programmable parameter options

The speed controller features over 44 programmable parameters, designed to allow a wide range of settings to meet the needs of all drivers. Among these parameters, the most important updates are throttle/brake curvature, freewheel, disc brake, braking frequency, boost timing, turbo timing and many others.

  • Smoothing technology 2.0

ESC features optimized Softening 2.0 technology. The new Softening 2.0 parameter improves traction in the first few meters of acceleration, significantly improving driving performance in high-powered vehicles without loss of speed.

  • Optimized cable outlet for easier wiring

The ESC layout has been optimized to simplify wiring for on-road cars, while adapting to the layout of off-road vehicles. In addition, the ESC also includes a set of U-type connectors, which can easily accommodate various wiring requirements, such as flat or diagonal soldering.

  • Dual version options (black or gray)

ESC offers two options: the standard G3 (black) and the G3X (titanium grey). The standard G3 version is better suited to Modified competition, The G3X version is ideal for Stock competition, offering more aggressive power.

  • Integrated BEC supports high-voltage (HV) servos

An adjustable BEC is integrated into the ESC to provide 10A peak output current. Output voltage is continuously adjustable from 5.0 V to 7.4 V, in steps of 0.1 V within this range. All this meets the power requirements for high-torque, high-voltage servos.
