Complete set of carbon fiber parts and 3D-printed components to modify your Mugen buggy.

Allows you to change the radio and battery layout to use 2x2S batteries. Compatible with mid-size battery types only.

Dedicated locations have been developed to integrate the transponder into the radio box, as well as the ESC switch (compatible with Hobbywing, Konect, Reds, Cayote, Corsatec...).

It features a rear chassis reinforcement with controlled flex, the central drive shafts, and a central offset of the motor and the entire drivetrain.

A drilling jig is supplied to drill the holes in the chassis, as well as a drill bit and a milling bit for countersunk for screws under the chassis. (The drilling jig may change color depending on stock).

Kit contents:

  • 5mm carbon fiber battery mounts.
  • Receiver box integrating the board and switches such as Hobbywing, Konect, Reds, Cayote, Corsatec (a cover is also supplied if you are using a different model).
  • Chassis brace in 3mm carbon with controlled flex.
  • Central drive shafts front and rear.
  • 3mm carbon servo plate.
  • Motor offset on 3mm Ergal 7075 plate.
  • Drilling jig with the necessary tools (a drill bit and a milling bit for the conical recesses for screws beneath the chassis).
  • Specific hardware.

Note, only suitable for MID type batteries and for a motor up to 70.5mm long.

Assembly instructions:

If your car isn’t new, start by removing the entire central section of the car. You can leave the front and rear assemblies on the chassis.

1 – Secure the drilling jig over the chassis using the original screws and holes.

2 – Drill the chassis with the supplied bit through the jig at the locations indicated by the colored circles.

3 – Remove the jig, then flip the car over and mill under the chassis at the new holes (milling bit provided).

4 – Secure the aluminum plate onto the differential mounts using the original Mugen screws. Pay attention to the orientation.

5 – Attach the aluminum plate and the ESC plate to the chassis using the 3x M3x10 screws and 2x M3 nuts, then install the double-height plastic spacer with the original Mugen M4x12 screw. Do not tighten fully until everything is assembled. Do not forget to install the front and rear central drive shafts supplied.

6 – Attach the battery bars to the guides with the designated screws; fit 1x intermediate nut on the rear and 2x intermediate nuts on the front. Then secure the battery guides to the chassis using the screws below. Note that the shape of the standoffs determines their position.

7 – First place the flexible guide (triangular) on the carbon chassis reinforcement with an M3x10 screw and a nylon nut, then mount the assembly onto the car. Note that the adapter piece to the central differential mount has a direction; ensure the arrow points to the front of the car. Do not overtight the two M3x20 screws on the mount.

8 – Attach the servo mounts to the carbon plate using M3x8 screws. Install the servo standoff (note it has a specific shape) on the chassis with an M3x12 Mugen screw. Then mount the underside of the receiver box to the chassis. Note that the rear screw also fixes the ESC plate.

9 – The ESC switch can be placed inside the receiver box; note the position and the type of spacers for each model. Always route the wire downward.

10 – You can now install all your electronics, close the radio box and finish by placing the steering servo in its housing. The AMB electronic chip sits in the top cover and is accessible from the outside. Cable guides are also provided to ensure a neat installation.
