Standard-length springs are excellent on smooth, high-traction surfaces. They offer better initial steering response. These shorter springs keep the car more stable and firmly planted to the ground, thus optimizing cornering speed, especially on technical circuits. Short springs promote a better acceleration response.

Longer shock springs optimize setups for rough and low-traction surfaces. They provide increased suspension travel for better shock absorption, thereby improving the feel after jumps and reducing wheel hop on landing. A better hold at maximum extension ensures optimal traction.
