Setups MP11 & MP11e Reno Savoya Kyosho Masters 2026

During the Kyosho Masters 2026 held at the RC94 track in Sucy-en-Brie, France, I had the opportunity to fine-tune my Kyosho MP11 Nitro and Kyosho MP11e Electric under particularly interesting racing conditions. As every year, this event brings together enthusiasts of the Japanese brand for a high-level competition where driving performance must be matched with a setup perfectly adapted to the track. This year's edition was no exception, with drivers coming from 18 countries around the world, an incredible atmosphere, and temperatures exceeding 35°C (95°F) in the shade!!!

In this article, I am sharing my complete setup sheets to help Kyosho MP11 and MP11e drivers better understand the technical choices made throughout the weekend and provide a solid baseline for developing their own setups.

A Fast and Technical Track

The RC94 circuit is recognized as one of the finest tracks in France for 1/8 off-road buggy racing. For this edition of the Kyosho Masters 2026, track conditions remained fairly consistent throughout the weekend, with stable grip levels (except during the rainy final 😂), racing lines gradually becoming more defined, and several sections requiring an excellent balance between traction and stability.

The numerous technical combinations, fast jumps, and high-grip sections highlighted the qualities of the new Kyosho MP11, both in its nitro and electric MP11e versions.

Kyosho MP11 Setup Objectives

Before the first practice sessions even began, several key objectives guided the setup development:

• Improve stability in high-speed sections.

• Maintain precise steering without making the car too aggressive.

• Maximize traction when exiting corners.

• Improve jump landings, which are always challenging on high-grip synthetic surfaces.

• Achieve a car that remains easy to drive during long finals.

The MP11 provides an extremely balanced platform that allows effective work on differentials, suspension geometry, and shock absorbers to precisely adapt the chassis behavior to both track conditions and driving style.

Kyosho MP11 Nitro Setup

Below you will find my complete setup sheets used during the Kyosho Masters 2026.

This configuration was developed to provide a very balanced car, with excellent stability through fast corners while maintaining enough rotation in tighter turns.

Differential settings played an important role in optimizing traction through the most technical sections of the track. Shock absorber tuning also helped improve landing control and overall chassis comfort over the bumpy sections, while adapting the setup to the changing temperatures throughout the event. In fact, I usually run 6-hole pistons on my MP11s, but under normal conditions I use a much lighter shock oil package!

Using 70mm Blue front springs and 81mm Red rear springs provides unmatched comfort and significantly reduces bouncing over rough and undulating sections.

Kyosho MP11e Electric Setup

The electric version of the MP11e requires a slightly different approach due to the instant torque of the brushless motor and the weight distribution specific to this category (with more weight over the front end).

The main objective was to maintain excellent forward traction while limiting overly aggressive reactions when applying throttle.

The setup presented in this sheet delivers a fast, consistent, and particularly easy-to-drive car throughout a full main event.

MP11 and MP11e Performance Analysis

One of the most impressive aspects of this new generation of Kyosho buggies is its versatility.

The MP11 performs extremely well in high-speed sections thanks to its excellent overall balance. Steering remains precise even when grip levels increase significantly, while the rear end retains enough traction to attack confidently. The addition of KPI adjustment on these versions particularly suits my driving style—I have never felt so comfortable under these conditions!

The MP11e shares these qualities while delivering exceptionally efficient acceleration. The platform inspires confidence and allows drivers to maintain a high pace without taking unnecessary risks.

Can These Setups Be Reused?

The RC94 track is unique. It is 100% synthetic (astro turf, wood, paving stones, plastic, etc.), yet it still offers a true off-road feeling, with moderate grip and flowing, bumpy sections. These setups can therefore be successfully used in similar conditions. However, if you mainly race on dirt tracks, I would not recommend using these settings as your starting point 😉.

Conclusion

The Kyosho Masters 2026 once again demonstrated the potential of the Kyosho MP11 and MP11e on a demanding track such as RC94 in Sucy-en-Brie.
