MP10e TKI2 version?

Categories : Reno's tutorials

We are receiving many messages about the possibility of a future MP10E kit in TKI2 version.

The release frequency of 1/8 buggy kits at Kyosho is around 2 years. For example, the TKI2 version of the nitro model has just been released in January 2021, after a period of 2 years after its release in January 2018.

The nitro category is indeed the most widespread category in 1/8 off-road, and major chassis upgrades have been made to the new TKI2 kit.

The MP10e (brushless electric version) was released in June 2020 in stores, already having the latest developments and the latest reinforced parts (IF625S front arms, IF408D bulkheads, IFW469 shock caps).

There will therefore be no TKI2 version planned (not before 2022 at least), and you can still enjoy your MP10e or order now to be sure to have the best 1/8 brushless car on the market in 2021! Indeed, its unique weight distribution makes it ultra easy and has an unparalleled balance.

However, it is possible to upgrade your MP10e yourself to the "TKI2 DIY" version, mainly by adding the shock absorbers and long shock towers. Indeed, the electric version being already supercharged, and the models often overpowered for the category, we do not necessarily recommend the use of the new bevel and crown gears which give more nervousness to the car.

Hi dear friend. Looking forward to getting a new car a new MP10e TKI2 this year. I feel Kyosho are very slow coming to market with an upgrade. I understand life cycles and launch times that need to be abided to for Commercial reasons but I should not have to invest so much capital to have the latest car with the relevant enhancements. We all know the changes made to the car for the TKi2 made a fantastic change to the overall behaviour and character of the car something we had all be asking for since the launch of the first car. Yes I understand it’s for some tracks and not others. Please just ask the team to hurry up.
