The new generation KYOSHO IC Tag Lap Counter 'II' can be connected to a PC to easily measure the lap times of small indoor RC cars fitted with IC tags.

Place the lap time sensor (antenna) under the carpet or urethane course and the special measurement software records the lap times of IC tag equipped cars as they pass over it. You can download the software and USB drivers from our 'Manuals/documents' section.

The advanced version "II" offers greater ease of use thanks to the following improvements:

Length of lap time sensor increased from 1 to 2 meters

The 1m width of Kyosho's original lap time sensor, which was compatible with 2 urethane panels of the MINI-Z Grand Prix Circuit 50, has been increased to 2m in the Lap Counter II.

Previously, the lap time sensor had to be installed in narrow parts of the circuit such as chicanes. The new version's 2m sensor can be installed in wider sections of the circuit, allowing beginners to drive over a wider area. What's more, thanks to the extra width, RC mini-cars (resin chassis only) other than the Kyosho MINI-Z fitted with an IC tag can be used on indoor carpet courses. So it's not hard to imagine using this counting system on an indoor 1/10 track!

It's now easier than ever for course owners to introduce a simpler lap measurement system.

The maximum measurement speed has been increased to 28 km/h (from around 17 km/h).

Thanks to its increased width, the lap detector can measure at speeds of up to 28 km/h, enabling it to be installed in straight lines too. Previous restrictions on installation in chicanes with a maximum measurement speed of 17 km/h have been lifted, allowing greater flexibility.

Continues to measure other cars, even if a car stops on the loop line

Lap Counter II has a new function that continues to measure other cars even if one of them stops on the lap time detector line. The new 'disable car stopped on detector' function means that the race can continue to be recorded without having to manually adjust the times afterwards*.

Measures the lap times of up to 9 cars simultaneously (using the software supplied).

Includes special measurement software compatible with Windows 10 (previous version was compatible with Windows XP SP2)

Three modes are available: free mode, lap race (e.g. 3-lap race) and normal race mode (e.g. 2-minute lap race).

Records are displayed for each car: total time, total number of laps, best lap, best lap classification.

Data can be viewed and deleted for each car without stopping the measurement.

*The deactivation function is not 100% effective in all circumstances.
