Jconcepts S2 body for B7 Team Associated

One of the most memorable JConcepts moments came at the hands of Spencer Rivkin at the 2015 World Championships at Yatabe Arena in Tsukuba City, Japan.

The Arizona native crossed the line with the Silencer body style designed and fabricated just for that event. The “S2,” began as a carpet, and turf specialty body but has quickly become a favorite for racers who require a low-profile, low-drag body which whisks through the turns with speed and efficiency.

It is difficult to find a better appearing JConcepts shell, the S2 has some of the sleekest style in the line-up. The design is crafty, one that maintains a lot of heritage from previous generations, but with a slightly harder edge than its predecessors. Computer aided design helped with symmetrical features, sharp instinctive shapes, and features never quite seen before on a 1/10th off-road buggy design.

The substantial chamfering, outer profile tailored to the shape of the chassis, and dual window cab drops below the racing radar for optimum performance. 

The S2 body for the Team Associated RC10B7 has a rear scoop feature on the sidepods which can be user trimmed for increased airflow or left as an object of drag and rear downforce. A center stabilizing fin picks up just toward the front of the cab and carries over the rear and lowered section to provide tracking ability at high speed. Additional rails on each side of the lowered rear section provide increased durability and help direct airflow over the rear end.

On the hood, a #gojconcepts customary recessed area provides another surface for airflow or can be user trimmed to provide inner cooling. The high-performance item has protection and surrounds the RC10B7 spur gear guard like a glove. The championship winning item includes two of the 6.5” Carpet | Turf | Dirt wings which is now a standard racing item around the world. The body includes all trim and window lines scribed on the body and masks to quickly cover the inside of the windows to perform user generated painting technique.

The body arrives as clear polycarbonate with protective film and is available in standard and lightweight formed thickness. A popular and versatile JConcepts decal sheet is included to decorate the new shell to the choice of the customer while a simple instruction sheet covers the basics for new or inexperienced painters. The shells with wings are proudly made in the USA,  packaged with care in Groveland, Florida,  for customers seeking a high-end option.
