Generally speaking, a piston with smaller diameter holes will achieve give more precision to your car, better traction and gain over large jumps. Indeed, the addition of "pack", that is to say a larger flat surface, will block the silicone oil as it passes through the piston and this no matter the oil viscosity used.

Conversely, larger holes will allow more oil to pass through, and will improve the behavior of the car in the bumps.

We will therefore rather use 8-hole pistons (1.2mm) on flat tracks, or when grip is limited.

On tracks with a lot of grip, or a surface with many bumps, the 5 holes  1.5mm pistons should be preferred for more comfort.
