OGO 1/8 buggy off-road tyres chart, compounds and treads usage

Categories : News , Reno's tutorials

In 2026, the OGO Racing tire range is getting a makeover! Previously manufactured in Asia, the tire range has been repatriated by the XTR team (same group) to Europe!

The compounds are now manufactured in Italy by a famous manufacturer, and the tires are molded in its factories.

The rims follow a high-quality production standard and are directly manufactured in Spain.

Only the inserts are manufactured in Asia, as for 100% of the 1/8 buggy market tires currently.

In order to better understand the range and the choices available to you, here is a list of the main treads, compounds, and uses.

The compounds

The compounds are particularly effective and have proven their effectiveness with numerous European and World Champion titles.

The first choice will be based on the temperature, which can be increased depending on the nature of the track, if it's a fast or abrasive track, for example, you should not hesitate to use a harder compound than the one recommended for your temperature range.

  • Ultra soft (orange color dot): For very cold conditions, below 5°C, or wet conditions.
  • Super soft (red color dot): Temperatures between 5°C and 15°C.
  • Soft (green color dot): Temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.
  • Medium (blue color dot): Temperatures between 25°C and 35°C.
  • Hard (yellow color dot): Extreme temperatures, above 35°C.
  • Clay super soft (white color dot): for oiled or synthetic tracks (astro, carpet, pavers...), or wet conditions, when the temperature is below 15°C.
  • Clay (pink color dot): for oiled or synthetic tracks (astro, carpet, pavers...), when the temperature is above 15°C or when the grip is strong.
