Jconcepts 1/10 bodies guide

Categories : News , Reno's tutorials

For many years now, the American brand Jconcepts has established itself as the world leader in design and innovation for off-road radio-controlled car bodies.

Founder Jason Ruona and his team of specialists and drivers strive to be at the cutting edge of bodywork research and development.

With unique lines that are often copied, Jconcepts bodies have become a must-have for all categories, whether 1/8 or 1/10, and in all conditions: dirt, carpet, synthetic grass (astroturf)...

Just like in Formula 1, aerodynamics is a key point in the tuning of your car. At every level, you can feel the differences of each model, which will completely change the balance of your buggy.

More steering, more stability or better behavior in the air, it's all possible now just by changing the winger or the bodyshell of your car.

When writing those lines (November 2024), Jconcepts offers a wide range of models: S2, F2, P2, S15, available for almost all models in the 1/10 category, whether 2wd or 4wd. Whether you use a Team Associated, XRAY, Schumacher, Team Losi Racing or Sworkz car, Jconcepts has the solution.

But what do these different bodies really do, and above all, which body should you use in which condition?

Here's the chart drawn up by Jconcepts to help you choose. These results have been collected by the drivers themselves, so you can be sure you're on the right track.

So we see the different models with the category and features.

We can clearly establish that the P2 body will probably be the best compromise for all conditions except carpet (high grip), whether 2wd or 4wd.

On the other hand, on high-grip tracks such as carpet or high-grip dirt, S2 or S15 bodystyles will be preferred.
