FFVRC 1/10 Results of the Tender 1/10 Electric Off-Road Carpet Tires

The 1/10 TT Commission would like to warmly thank all manufacturers who took part in the 1/10 Electric Off-Road Carpet Tire tender. Their responsiveness and professionalism, despite very short deadlines, greatly contributed to the success of this selection process.

Please note: unfortunately, one manufacturer could not be selected due to a non-compliant delivery, which prevented the tests from being carried out. This is all the more regrettable as the company is a well-known player in the discipline.

Testing Organization

The tests were conducted on four different tracks, with varied layouts and drivers, exclusively on EOS-type carpet, in order to evaluate the versatility of the tires.

  • Blind testing: drivers never knew which brand they were using

  • Lap times recorded in 2WD and 4WD, modified motors

  • Results compiled in a summary table (link attached)

A big thank you to all drivers for their commitment and strict compliance with the testing protocol.

During the Brest test session, no lap times could be recorded due to a technical issue that occurred before the start of the trials.

Results

The performances observed were extremely close among all the tires tested, across all tracks and configurations. The final decision was therefore based on criteria of consistency, balance, and availability.

(with possible renewal for 2027)

Unsurprisingly, the quality of Jetko tires made a strong impression, and the tires that won the selection are from the Taiwanese brand distributed in France by Kyosho Europe.

These tires are available from us in two versions: unglued or pre-mounted/glued.

Next Steps – Astro Tires

Testing for the Astro surface will begin shortly, following the same rigorous methodology, with the three selected manufacturers.

The results and the final choice will be announced from February 16, 2026.
