The competition kit, revisited in TKI3 version (Team Kyosho International)!

The Inferno MP10 TKI3 version includes the latest evolutions of the 1/8 4x4 off-road competition kit. Released in June 2023.

THE NEW FEATURES OF THIS TKI3 VERSION :

1. NEW BODYWORK

A new bodywork has been designed, to give a different look to the car and to further improve its aerodynamic downforce.

The cabin has been reworked and lowered. The nose in the front is more vertical and offers a larger surface for more downforce and steering.

The small side pods have been moved forward to give the car more responsiveness.

2. BEVEL GEARS

The bevel gears ratio have been increased from 42/12 to 43/13, both front and rear. The ratio is thus lengthened from 3.5:1 to 3.31:1.

This version allows a smoother acceleration, with a gain in traction.

The 42/12 bevel gears made the car too aggressive with oversteer when exiting a corner and are therefore abandoned in favor of the 43/13 version.

3. DIFFERENTIAL AND CENTER RING GEAR

The original central differential is now small (identical to the front and rear drivetrains), in order to limit the "dead volume".

This gives more traction to the car and more directionality when entering a corner. The consistency of the oil on the long finales is not impacted.

The gears are now 18/12 (in the center only) instead of 20/10 on the previous version. The car is easier to drive with this ratio, and the lifepan of the pinions is extended with a new material.

4. SHOCKS AND SPRINGS

The front and rear shock absorbers are identical to the TKI2 version, and now adopt the new black springs in 72mm at the front and 86mm at the rear.

5. NEW CLUTCH

The kit includes the latest ultra light clutch with IFW636 shoes. The clutch is lighter for improved throttle response.

6. NEW WING RISERS

Now in the kit are delivered two types of aileron risers. One of 2,5mm and one of 5mm, to be fixed directly on the fin support. 

Raising the wing allows to have a more stable car on fast curves but with more rotation in slow corners because of the mass that "embarks" the rear end of the car.

7. NEW TOE INSERTS

New rear toe inserts are born, with the addition of 2°.

The 2° toe-in on the rear axle allows to give more rotation to the car, increasing the corner speed of the car. Mainly enjoyable on tracks with high grip.

8. CENTRAL TRANSMISSION

The central transmission is now equipped with straight driveshafts (dogbones) with corresponding lighter outdrivers.

The transmission is more direct and lighter, greatly improving the car's responsiveness and traction. The power is better distributed, and the behavior in bumps on blown out tracks is improved.

9. NEW SERVO SAVER PLATE

Now made of composite material, the servo save plate has been redesigned, so as to offer more smoothness in the steering of the Kyosho Inferno MP10TKI3.
